Welcome to Paul's Planes. A place where we share the over 30 years of industry experience I have working for the Airplane Shop by Daron. 

Over the years, thousands of consumer collectors have asked me for feedback on how and why certain models are made and why others are not. Frankly, it is extremely complicated. Many factors of how a scale model come to life are considered, including licensing and popularity. Availability of resources to produce the products at reasonable costs and lead times are also major contributing factors. 

Not every airline or airframe manufacturer permits models to be made. In the early days of model planes, the manufacturers of model aircraft did not have many airlines or airframe manufacturers demanding licenses or fees to produce the models. Even today many airlines do not require licensing. Even so, every year more new airlines or existing airlines pursue legal action against producing models without a license. 

We work closely with our licensing partners to choose both current and historical aircraft and product to license. We work diligently to keep new product and costs low so that we can provide high quality product at affordable prices.
